For the Inland Empire Seminar, we were asked
to develop a mixed-use Regional Distribution
Center. The project not only incorporated
the many aspects of design, but also
sociology, economics, logistics,
transportation + marketing. The final design
had to incorporate a distribution center,
residential elements, commercial/retail, +
the needed an intense strategy for
infrastructure + construction.
The proposal pushed the
limits of land density + questioned traditional
land use. Developed for this project were
several principals + diagrams which challenges
these traditional notions + recommends radical
theories on multi-zoned developments.
